First Year Housing|Recommended: YesIt is great for being young and right out of school. Great location too.
We really like it here - and we are over 50 |Recommended: YesLove being in the center of everything, but quiet enough location and building to hear yourself think when inside. Nice people who quiet down if asked, lots of friendly conversation in halls and elevators, and we love being the older folks still working who hang out with young ideas and spirits. Love the pet-friendly atmosphere, too. Staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and questions get answered quickly and correctly. We will be here several years and know we won't need to move.
Great Property, Friendly Community, Terrible Staff|Recommended: YesThe vibe of the Meridian is young - like right out of college young - which makes it a fun environment to live in over the summer. The workout facility is very nice, and the rooftop grill areas are also a nice amenity. I love the building and property, however the staff is not so great. When applying to Meridian, I was consistently warned about how bad the leasing property management office was. Well, I could not believe how bad it truly is. They are terrible at communication when applying, as well as when residing in the building. Their apathy towards problems i.e. leaks due to pipes bursting, bikes being stolen out of THEIR parking garage, etc. is abysmal. I will say - the front desk staff George and Kevin are extremely friendly and helpful. As is George and his maintenance staff. It really just is the leasing office that sucks.
Clean, efficient, easy to live in |Recommended: YesThe building is in the perfect location and has all of the amenities one could wish for when living in the city. It's well maintained and is clean. The maintenance workers could get to maintenance requests a little sooner. Or at least leave a reply back when you leave them a message. The front desk is helpful overall, however, there are a few employees who come off very rude when you're talking to them. But the front desk manager is awesome and couldn't be more professional or helpful
Great |Recommended: YesGreat
Love it|Recommended: YesA little on the expensive side, but a wonderful property. Great staff, beautiful architecture, and wonderful amenities.
Great building and great location |Recommended: YesOnly downside of it is that the administrative staff is very slow on fixing renters issues. It took us like 9 months to fix a contract renewal. Other than that, very happy with everything else.
Convenient, safe, modern living in the heart of DC|Recommended: YesI most enjoy the sunroom in the unit. It is nice to have floor to ceiling windows to let in ample light.
It's fine gets the job done. Could use some updates. Mass Ave construction can be a bit noisy |Recommended: YesOn the whole, the building, staff, location, and amenities are great I wish there were some updates to the old formica counters or old carpet in living areas, but on the whole, the building is solid, clean, and noise from neighbors is pretty minimal. The pool, gym, and package delivery make living here super enjoyable
Great property, amenities, great location.|Recommended: YesVery nice, homey with an urban city feel
Good building|Recommended: YesGreat apartments and building. The leasing office is extremely inefficient, though, we seem to always need to ask a question 3 times before it gets answered and a month later they'll tell us they have no idea when we bring up the same issue or question. Beyond their incompetence, it is a great building, very friendly front desk, nice rooftop and always convenient to have a washer dryer in unit. I also do enjoy that it's a very young building.

You can find better |Recommended: NoWith all of the new apartments around the Meridian, they need to step up their service. First, when we signed our lease they did not tell us they for over half of our lease term we would not have a lobby due to construction. What bothers me most about this is the delay in receiving packages and lack of concierge. Since there is no room for the packages downstairs because there isn't even a ceiling they store the packages on the top floor. So when you go down to get a package they say they can't go get it because they have to man the desk. I came back 3 times to get a package before I was able to get it. The apartments aren't bad, but for how much you charge you would think there would be nicer counter tops and appliances. With so many other nice apartments in a 3 block radius, Meridian is not at the top.
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns and for giving us the opportunity to respond. We would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience our lobby renovation has caused. We understand your frustration and our renovation team is working diligently to insure a timely completion of our lobby. We strive to provide excellent customer service, and are dismayed to hear that we are not meeting or exceeding your expectations. I Think that its a nice and safe environment |Recommended: YesI would tell them its a mostly young professional crowd, its a safe fun building. The office needs to be more responsive
Better recycling options needed|Recommended: YesWhile I enjoy the space, I find it very antiquated that the roof, club room and each floor does not have recycling. 1. All shared space that has large garbage cans should also have recycling bins. Otherwise, people throw recycling into the garbage bins. Just as much refuse is collected, but two bins one for rubbish and one for recycling are needed. 2. Each floor should have a recycling hub. Most apartments in DC have room in the garbage chute for recycling to be collected. Having to regularly take the recycling to the trash room on the first floor is in an inconvenience and many in the building do not bother. Further I know others in the building have contemplated reporting the building to DPW for not having convenient recycling receptacles.
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review of our community and for sharing your concerns with us. We warmly welcome and appreciate suggestions from our residents. Unfortunately, we will not be able to install an additional chute for recycling, so all recycling must be brought to the garage level recycling receptacle. We are researching additional recycling solutions for both sundecks. Our property manager would like the opportunity to speak with you further regarding your concerns and possible recycling solutions. Please contact him at 202-326-0000 at your earliest opportunity.
N a|Recommended: YesN a The ranking criteria for this review is very unclear. Particularly the prompt noise - can you hear your neighbors all too well - it is unclear if a high number of stars means agrees that the noise can be heard all too well or if a high number of stars means that noisy neighbors aren't a problem at all.
