It's fine|Recommended: YesI love this building. It has great amenities and events. The concierge and front desk staff are great, but the leasing office is a mess. Lease change paperwork consistently gets lost, you have to be on them constantly to get anything done, they make everything a hassle, etc. It's incredibly frustrating. The building is kind of fratty, especially at the pool in the summer, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. People are young and friendly. I don't ever really hear anything from the hallway or my neighbors. Even the walls within the apartment are pretty sound-proof. I've had issues with maintenance not wanting to come in after hours despite situations that constitute an emergency, but generally speaking they're fine. Apartments appliances could use bupdating though.

Noisy |Recommended: YesIt would be much better if you change the mirror to block the noise from outside and change to block out curtain or blind.
GREAT place to live|Recommended: YesI had a great experience living at the Meridian Gallery Place. Staff were friendly and the location is unbeatable.
Decent place to live, great location|Recommended: YesOverall, the Meridian is a good place to live, especially if you work downtown and or have just graduated college. That being said, I think that listing it as a luxury building is a bit of an overstatement. The rooftop pool and grills are a great draw, but it often feels like a college dorm with people packed into one-bedroom apartments and cheap fixtures constantly broken in the apartments and hallways. The leasing office can be extremely difficult to work with. It really takes a lot of effort to get questions answered accurately. Although there are exceptions The redeeming quality is the front desk staff and maintenance, they are always friendly, helpful, and prompt.

I like Meridian|Recommended: YesI have been living here for two years, and my experience is very pleasant. Here is like a home to me.
TERRIBLE|Recommended: NoHorrible incompetent staff, often was told one thing one day and another the second, very slow response to issues, tons of mistakes with the leasing itself, overpriced for quality of apartments

I love it here|Recommended: YesI love living in the meridian. I just wish my AC worked better in my room.
Worst customer service ever|Recommended: Noleasing staff is disorganized, unprofessional, and ineffective
Poor Leasing Office|Recommended: NoI have had the worst experience with the leasing office. Representatives did not know what was going on with my application and would continuously beat around the bush, not giving me any answers. They were also very unprofessional to me. For example, when I asked a question concerning my application they got frustrated and hung up on me. That is unacceptable.
Experience|Recommended: NoNicole is one of the worst people I've worked with, besides her being rude and unprofessional, she doesn't know what she's doing. The staff other than the doormen and maintenance are unprofessional and I can not wait to move out.
Amazing|Recommended: YesA great place to live, friendly concierge, helpful maintenance staff, nice facilities and amenities
Great place to live|Recommended: YesGreat place to live. Super friendly concierges. Has all the basics plus some. Very well kept halls, lobby, and outside.
Good location, poor service|Recommended: YesThe apartments are great, the location is perfect, the front desk staff and maintenance staff are friendly. My primary complaint is the leasing office. My roommates and I rarely get response emails when we have an inquiry and our revised lease took over a month to complete. Though some of the staff seems willing to help, there is very little communication between the leasing office and their residents. With our lease, we were not told certain steps we needed to take in order to get the lease amended which was the cause for the delay. In dealing with an issue with a utility company, certain staff were willing to help, however there has been absolutely zero communication on progress regarding getting the charges fixed. This same problem has now continued for a month, with no email responses or phone calls from the office, despite my continued attempts to email them and their claim that they would frequently give me updates. I am aware they have a large amount of residents and they or at least some do seem to want to help, but it would benefit everyone if there was more communication and follow-through.
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review and for sharing your concerns with us. We sincerely apologize for our lack of communication and the inconvenience it caused. We understand that you have spoken with our property manager and hope that he was able to properly address your concerns. Should you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact him again at 202-326-0000.
Centrally located in DC, new building and clean apartments |Recommended: YesThe building is centrally located in terms of approach to DC neighborhoods and a walking distance away from Union station and I 395 highway that makes it easier to commute outside of DC. The pool and grilling areas are great and in summers it gets crowded. There are platy of community events happening almost every other month at-least. The apartment itself is really nice with new fixtures and equipment. the sun room has a lot of space. The only issue in my opinion is the noise from outside such as traffic - this may be the problem in apartments facing main road - Massachusetts Avenue. The maintenance staff is very helpful and attentive. There is not even a single time when our request for maintenance is not addressed in a same day. The service is simply great. Overall the experience is pleasant and we enjoy living here.
I think the property is great for the most part |Recommended: YesIt's a great place for young professionals to live, and easily accessible to many great parts of DC such as the National Mall, the Verizon Center, and the Gallery Place Metro Station, which is a great connector to many places in the city.
