submitted by Brett G. - |Recommended: NoNice location, but annoying rental process and staff — The application approval process takes entirely too long. The staff is generally unhelpful it takes hours and sometimes days to hear back from someone in the rental office.

submitted by Natalie S. - |Recommended: YesSo Far, So Good — I've only lived here for about 3 months, but so far it's been a lovely experience. The staff are helpful, the apartments themselves are very nice, and the building amenities pool, gym, packages delivered right to your door, etc. can't be beat. As for noise, I rarely ever hear any of my neighbors like, do I even have neighbors . Whenever we've had to have maintenance up, they've been quick and courteous. The building itself is lovely too When friends come to visit me, they always think that they've somehow wandered into a hotel, not an apartment building, because the lobby is so lovely. I truly hope to be able to spend several more of my years in DC here at the Meridian.
response from property -Natalie, Thanks so much for the wonderful review, we sincerely appreciate it! We are so happy to hear that you are enjoying your new home, please do not hesitate to let us know how we can be of any help in the future. Sincerely, Taryn S.
submitted by Emma C. - |Recommended: YesGreat apartments with great amenities — conveniently located, amazing amenities, and everything a young adult needs at a reasonable price
submitted by Mackenzie M. - |Recommended: YesNice and fun — convenient
submitted by Jenna M. - |Recommended: YesHorrible to come into, but great once you're in — If I had not gone through Craigslist I definitely would not live here. It's a beautiful building in a great location but my experience with the leasing office almost made me leave. The process of signing a lease was difficult and confusing. The leasing office appeared unorganized and not very helpful. I was tossed from person to person and was asked for the same documents by multiple people. After successfully signing the lease thanks mainly to my persistence , the front desk continued to give me difficulties with my move in. When I called to inquire over a miscommunication on the move-in date, they blamed the resident before me for the problem instead of taking responsibility. I really didn't care whose fault it was but the desk employee complaining to me about a current resident left a bad taste in my mouth. It's been a poor customer service experience pretty much all around. As a new resident, I currently wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know.
response from property -Hi Jenna, Thank you for your review. During a lease change there can be a lot of confusion between current residents and incoming residents and if we failed to give you the best customer service during the transition we sincerely apologize. Our property manager has reached out to you privately so that we may discuss your concerns and learn how we can provide a better experience moving forward. We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns with us and look forward to speaking with you soon. Sincerely, Taryn S.
submitted by Karen M. - |Recommended: YesGreat location, poor finishes, young residents — Feels like a dorm for Georgetown Law. As someone much older than that particular demographic, I don't quite fit in with the crowd. That said, it's very friendly. The apartment is roomy and there is almost no sound between apartments walls or ceiling . On the down side, it is an expensive place and the kitchen and bathroom look like they were done by Ikea White on white, formica counters, somewhat shoddy workmanship.
submitted by John S. - |Recommended: YesGreat place for students and young professionals to live. — I have been very pleased with my experience at the Meridian at Gallery Place. The building is conveniently located near Chinatown, Gallery Place, and Union Station, not to mention the Georgetown University Law Center. The Meridian's amenities and staff have always been helpful and considerate.
submitted by Sara O. - |Recommended: YesYoung neighbors, good location, helpful doormen and staff, old carpet. — Our building is safe, and our doormen are very helpful. The location is excellent. The elevator has a tendency to smell like vomit (especially on the weekend) and the pool gets gross very quickly over the summer. The gym is small and the apartments lack storage outside of the main bedroom (though you can pay for extra storage). The carpets in the shared areas are lovely, the ones in the apartment are old and worn. Because our apartment easily gets very hot in the summer, our utility costs are high int the summer, The residents of the building are very young and can be loud, and I can often hear people outside our door when I'm in the living room. I do not usually hear anyone from in my bedroom, though.

submitted by Victoria S. - |Recommended: YesGreat experience! — I'd say that it's a lovely full-service building where I have been very happy so far.
submitted by John D. - |Recommended: YesWonderful place with wonderful day-time concierge service — It is great. It is also expensive. There could be some improvements when it comes to ordering food and still having to go downstairs to get it. Otherwise, there is ample parking, with a premium. Additional storage options would be beneficial. The maintenance staff is fast, courteous, and knowledgeable. Take care in having a place too far from the garbage chute, because it can be a little bit of a hike. Figuring out how to dispose large items without having to move them to the dock would be nice. The neighborhood is improving. Appliances have short-half lives, so if you are taking over a lease, be prepared to deal with the potential of dirty carpets, low watt microwaves, and squirrely dishwashers.
