Great place for students and young professionals to live. |Recommended: YesI have been very pleased with my experience at the Meridian at Gallery Place. The building is conveniently located near Chinatown, Gallery Place, and Union Station, not to mention the Georgetown University Law Center. The Meridian's amenities and staff have always been helpful and considerate.
Young neighbors, good location, helpful doormen and staff, old carpet. |Recommended: YesOur building is safe, and our doormen are very helpful. The location is excellent. The elevator has a tendency to smell like vomit (especially on the weekend) and the pool gets gross very quickly over the summer. The gym is small and the apartments lack storage outside of the main bedroom (though you can pay for extra storage). The carpets in the shared areas are lovely, the ones in the apartment are old and worn. Because our apartment easily gets very hot in the summer, our utility costs are high int the summer, The residents of the building are very young and can be loud, and I can often hear people outside our door when I'm in the living room. I do not usually hear anyone from in my bedroom, though.
We love living here|Recommended: YesIt's a great location, good building and great staff. The neighbors tend to be younger, more transient due to the law school near by and the proximity to the Hill.
Great experience!|Recommended: YesI'd say that it's a lovely full-service building where I have been very happy so far.
Wonderful place with wonderful day-time concierge service|Recommended: YesIt is great. It is also expensive. There could be some improvements when it comes to ordering food and still having to go downstairs to get it. Otherwise, there is ample parking, with a premium. Additional storage options would be beneficial. The maintenance staff is fast, courteous, and knowledgeable. Take care in having a place too far from the garbage chute, because it can be a little bit of a hike. Figuring out how to dispose large items without having to move them to the dock would be nice. The neighborhood is improving. Appliances have short-half lives, so if you are taking over a lease, be prepared to deal with the potential of dirty carpets, low watt microwaves, and squirrely dishwashers.
Beautiful, well maintained building, excellent concierge and service staff, fantastic location. |Recommended: YesConvenient and comfortable, if expensive (as is DC).
Great apartments|Recommended: YesVery nice apartments
I think the amenities and service are amazing-all I could ask for|Recommended: YesIts really nice! I love having a sunroom, and ultimately the rooms are extremely homey. Also, amenities and concierge service are perfect-i would not change a thing.
Great location, secure, full amentities. |Recommended: Yes----
Great place to live. Great location, always feel comfortable, takes a degree of stress out of my life living here.|Recommended: YesEveryone is pretty young, almost like a post-grad dorm. Compared to my previous living places, this has been a huge relief. Never worried about pests, plumbing issues, etc. If they occur, they're addressed right away. The pool is awesome in the summer. I do wish parking was less.
A great place to live - incredibly expensive but worth it|Recommended: YesA great place to live - incredibly expensive but worth it
Excellent service|Recommended: YesI am just in the process of moving in, but very much appreciate the help of Jamilla and the Property Manager (I apologize that I forget her name) in helping me get everything settled after a very frazzled day of moving arrangements from overseas. Thank you!
Great location, slightly dormlike, good price|Recommended: Yes-good location if you work in DC -the residents can act like college students sometimes and leave beer bottles, etc. in the elevators and such -the front desk staff and maintenence guys are incredibly friendly and helpful -the gym and morning coffee are great perks -the leasing office staff varies from incredibly helpful/friendly to downright rude. I don't even bother asking the rude staff for help, and just wait till the nice ones are in -neighborhood bar/food scene, location, and perks make it worth the price. I genuinely like living here and will most likely renew my lease for a few more years
Great place to live!|Recommended: YesIt's in a fantastic location, the residents are friendly and welcoming, and the staff and amenities are extremely accommodating.
Love it but i wish there were more windows in each apartmenti|Recommended: Yesit's great! everyone is friendly and around your age. the doormen are fantastic and they handle maintenance requests in a very timely matter.
