|Recommended: YesBetter recycling options needed — While I enjoy the space, I find it very antiquated that the roof, club room and each floor does not have recycling. 1. All shared space that has large garbage cans should also have recycling bins. Otherwise, people throw recycling into the garbage bins. Just as much refuse is collected, but two bins one for rubbish and one for recycling are needed. 2. Each floor should have a recycling hub. Most apartments in DC have room in the garbage chute for recycling to be collected. Having to regularly take the recycling to the trash room on the first floor is in an inconvenience and many in the building do not bother. Further I know others in the building have contemplated reporting the building to DPW for not having convenient recycling receptacles.

Particularly the prompt noise - can you hear your neighbors all too well - it is unclear if a high number of stars means agrees that the noise can be heard all too well or if a high number of stars means that noisy neighbors aren't a problem at all.
|Recommended: YesIt's fine — I love this building. It has great amenities and events. The concierge and front desk staff are great, but the leasing office is a mess. Lease change paperwork consistently gets lost, you have to be on them constantly to get anything done, they make everything a hassle, etc. It's incredibly frustrating. The building is kind of fratty, especially at the pool in the summer, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. People are young and friendly. I don't ever really hear anything from the hallway or my neighbors. Even the walls within the apartment are pretty sound-proof. I've had issues with maintenance not wanting to come in after hours despite situations that constitute an emergency, but generally speaking they're fine. Apartments appliances could use bupdating though.

|Recommended: YesDecent place to live, great location — Overall, the Meridian is a good place to live, especially if you work downtown and or have just graduated college. That being said, I think that listing it as a luxury building is a bit of an overstatement. The rooftop pool and grills are a great draw, but it often feels like a college dorm with people packed into one-bedroom apartments and cheap fixtures constantly broken in the apartments and hallways. The leasing office can be extremely difficult to work with. It really takes a lot of effort to get questions answered accurately. Although there are exceptions The redeeming quality is the front desk staff and maintenance, they are always friendly, helpful, and prompt.

|Recommended: NoPoor Leasing Office — I have had the worst experience with the leasing office. Representatives did not know what was going on with my application and would continuously beat around the bush, not giving me any answers. They were also very unprofessional to me. For example, when I asked a question concerning my application they got frustrated and hung up on me. That is unacceptable.
|Recommended: NoExperience — Nicole is one of the worst people I've worked with, besides her being rude and unprofessional, she doesn't know what she's doing. The staff other than the doormen and maintenance are unprofessional and I can not wait to move out.
